UCP Calls for Artists to Submit Designs for Holiday Ornament

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Sept. 15, 2011) - UCP of East Central Florida is calling for artists to submit designs for the 2012 holiday ornament. UCP has been producing the official holiday ornament for the City of Daytona Beach since 1993. Ornaments have always been designed by local artists. Artists of any age are invited to submit a design for the sculpture contest. The ornament will be professionally produced at UCP's Daytona Beach facility by individuals with disabilities.

Ornament Design Guidelines:

• All submission must be made in Chavant Clay NSP medium hard brown.
• Create the design with a nautical theme.
• Ornament cannot exceed 3 inches by 2 inches when fired.
• No undercuts or protruding parts.
• Ornament may be flat or three dimensional.
