39th Annual Golf Tournament Raises $47,000 for UCP of
East Central Florida
Daytona Beach, FL (Sept. 2, 2011) -- On Saturday, August 27, United Cerebral Palsy of East Central Florida held it’s 39th annual UCP/WORC golf tournament at Halifax Plantation Golf Club. The tournament, which benefits UCP of East Central Florida , raised $47,000. The presenting sponsor for the event was the Daytona Beach Kennel Club and Poker Room. Halifax Plantation Golf Club, Publix Supermarkets, American Industrial Plastics, Bright House Networks, Sams Club, Brown and Brown, and Austin Outdoors were major sponsors.
Parker Mychenberg, recipient of the Schwartz Family Community Service Award from UCP and a board member, coordinated the event.
UCP of East Central Florida has provided services to youth and adults with disabilities since 1969. UCP provides vocational training, support services, youth employment services and supported living services to over 900 individuals each year in Volusia, Flagler and surrounding counties.
