Our Youth Employment Services (YES) Program provides Exceptional Student Education youth with in-class employability skills and community based work-readiness training that allows them to successfully transition from school to work or post-secondary education.

We provide students with:

  • In-school instruction in employability skills

  • Orientation to the One Stop Career Center

  • Supervised instruction in a real work setting

  • Time-limited supportive services

  • Youth development/mentoring experiences

  • Access to a comprehensive job bank

  • Individualized job search and placement

  • An alternative to dropping out

Once employed, students may be eligible for a one-time stipend to assist them with work-related expenses.

The Youth Transition programs are funded by Center for Business Excellence and the Department of Education, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, and administered in partnership with Volusia and Flagler County School and local businesses.
